Thursday, September 29
10:45 - 12:15
There is a growing number of notable organizations such as IBM, Best Buy, General Motors, Oracle Corporation appointing women as CEOs, for example, there are now more women in Fortune 500 companies than at any time in the 63-year history of this ranking system.
The McKinsey Global Institute study found that advancing gender equality by 2025 could add $12 trillion to the global economy. In fact, this figure could reach $28 trillion.
The Harvard Business Review study demonstrated that women possess such leadership skills as teamwork, innovation and problem solving, which that are crucial for entrepreneurial success. This data demonstrates the tremendous potential of women, who are given equal conditions, such as mentoring, capacity building and access to financial resources.
In addition, Credit Suisse's 2018 Global Wealth Report states that women own 40% of the world's wealth, and that share continues to rise steadily.
As women gain more power and influence in the business world, they bring with them fresh ideas and innovation. Across industries, greater gender equality helps to create new products, services, and build long-term, successful, sustainable businesses.
